Which surveying firms is membership for?
Every discipline and every size, from sole traders to large practices, whatever body you are registered with. The referral network alone spans building surveying, valuation, quantity surveying, party wall, expert witness, asbestos, damp, drainage, retrofit and energy assessment, geospatial and engineering surveying, and many more. Larger firms, panels and national employers are covered by Custom.
Why should I choose Surveyors UK over other directories?
Most directories rank firms by who pays the most, and cover one part of the profession. We are different on both counts. Surveyors UK is independent, so firms are never ranked by payment, and it is open to every discipline and every body, not just one. You also get more than a listing: a no-fee referral network between member firms, a profile built to be found by AI as well as Google, and a community of firm owners behind it. It is built to support your firm, not to extract from it.
I am a small firm. Is this worth it for me?
Yes, and often more so. A sole trader or small firm is usually the least visible online and to AI, and has the most to gain from the referral network and an AI-ready profile. Foundation is built for firms up to five people, from £35 plus VAT a month.
How much does it cost, and how does billing work?
Membership starts at £35 plus VAT a month and is priced by firm size. You are billed quarterly, or annually for twenty percent off. Payment is made through Stripe, or by BACS for annual plans. There is no fixed term, membership renews automatically each billing period, and you can cancel at any time. We do not offer refunds; if you cancel, any remaining paid time stays as credit on your account. You can move up a tier whenever your firm is ready.
What is the founding rate?
Firms who join now join as founding members and lock in their rate for their first twelve months from joining. After twelve months, the rate moves to the standard price then in place. It is our way of rewarding the firms who back the network early.
Do I have to register before I can join?
Yes. Firm membership sits on a Surveyors UK account, so you register on Surveyors UK first, or log in if you already have an account, and then take out membership. Register with your firm’s email address so the membership belongs to the firm.
What is the free Al-visibility audit?
A review of your own website, available from day one of membership, covering AEO and GEO. It shows how AI and Google read your firm today, where you stand, and what to fix, in plain English.
Do you charge referral fees or take commission?
No. No money passes through Surveyors UK and no referral fee is charged on any work passed between firms.
Can I change tier later?
Yes. You can move up whenever your firm grows, and billing is adjusted automatically.
